spring camporee

For spring camporee we went camping at Dayton Hollow.

Muzzle Loading Merit Badge

It was a very nice Saturday at the rifle range. Muzzle loading merit badge instructor Mike worked with the boys so the could earn there merit badge. The boys and adults had a great time shooting the rifles at the targets. After the day at the range the boys learned how to disassemble and clean the rifles, so they would be ready for the next trip out to the rifle range.

Merit Badge Weekend

At merit badge weekend troop 305 earned 9 badges. The merit badges that were available and who took them: auto mech took by Jordan, James, Stephen, Tyler, and Tyler. Medicine took by Allen. Electronics took by Sam, Jesse, and Adam.

Eric's Eagle Court of Honor

On Saturday March 28, 2009 Troop 305 held a Eagle Court of Honor for Eric.

Master of ceremonies was Sam.

Color gaurd was Tyler, Spencer, James, and Tyler.

Special guest of Honor were Pastor Ken Rust,Eagle Scout Mark McElvaney,and Dist. Exec. Jim Stratton.

Scout Master Dave presented the Eagle Award.

Scouting for Food

Troop 305

On monday March 23rd we handed out bags for Scouting for Food. Then on Saturday March 28th at 9 a.m. we picked up the bags full of food. Then we brought the food over to the foodshelf. We collected 385 pounds of food.

Scoutmaster Dave and the rest of Troop 305 welcome the new Boy Scouts and the new Asst. Scoutmaster. The new scouts where told about summer camp at Camp Wilderness, by Stephen, James & Jordan. Winter Camp at Camp Wilderness, by Sean & Allen. Service projects, Eagle projects by Spencer & Tyler H. The troop was also treated to a very good apple cobbler made in a dutch oven by Sam & Tyler D. All of the boys had excellent presentations
